R. Brooks Associates, Inc. announced the addition of its new B618-UCH Universal Camera Head to its line of specialty video cameras for industrial applications. Robust design and construction enables the B618-UCH to operate in dry or wet environments at temperatures ranging from 32° to 120° F (0°to 49° C) and at submersed depths to 200 feet.The B618-UCH housing is made from anodized aluminum making it resistant to oxidation in salt water applications. This camera provides full color video with 18X optical and 4X digital zoom, 355° pan and +/-150° tilt capabilities for 100% visual coverage, and 70 watts of high intensity illumination. The B618-UCH supports a number of deployment options including drop down cable attachment or extension pole mounting for manual inspections, mounting to robotic tooling for remote visual inspection and foreign object search and retrieval applications as well as fixed mounting for remote monitoring of security zones or hazardous environments.The B618-UCH Universal Camera Head weighs just seven pounds making it ideal for extended manual use. Its weight is also well within the payload capacities for most robotic tooling. A minimum diameter of only six inches is required to deploy the B618-UCH to support a wide range of inspection applications.
